I used this product for the very first time to replace the Polymeric Sand on my Banas Stone patio. Up until I discovered ROMEX I had to replace the Polymeric every year as it failed to bond with the stone. This new product from Germany is guaranteed for 5 years! And the best part is that the local rep in Ottawa offered to help/teach me how to do it. Once we swept the sand into the channels between the stones and gently watered it in, a resin was applied over the entire patio surface to seal the sand and enhance the colors of the Banas. As I write this posting the product has cured and it appears the sand is there to stay. Another Ottawa Canada winter in 2024 will be the test but I am hopeful I have found a great solution to an annual headache. ~ Skip E

I am a Hardscaping Contractor and have used many different products over the years. I came across Romex and their products several years ago. I had transitioned to mainly permeable installations and needed products that would perform to extremely high standards and last for many years to come. I tried several companies products for permeable jointing materials prior to Romex but once I installed Romex I have not turned back and they have not let me down. I use Romex products exclusively in my installations and I have found that being able to offer their products to my customers actually makes a difference. I have a beautiful porcelain tile around my fire pit. However the color is white and it gets dirty. Power washing always blew the polymeric sand out of the joints and weeds and moss grew. I happen to come across Romex and their products and after some discussion with them via Instagram I purchased the Eco Fine. To say I am happy with the product, application and result is an understatement. It was super easy to apply and I loved the fact it's a wet application. The joints in the tiles and more importantly the larger areas where the tiles meet the wall are super strong and it looks fantastic. Clean up of excess was very easy with just a broom. I look forward to cleaning the tiles this summer and not having to redo the joints. Definitely take a look at their products for your pavers, you will not be disappointed. ~ William G

This product is fantastic for number of years I've had polymeric sand I've tried many different brands but they do not seem to hold and when they get wet it gets loose and it's always going into the swimming pool finally I tried the Romex which is rock hard and allows water to penetrate through the polymeric into the base this makes life more easier and the bottom of the pool stays very clean no sand grit in the bottom of the liner I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good product the product May cost you more but sometimes you can't look at Cost because over the years I would probably have spent way more than what the Romex cost me I recommend it a thousand percent ~ Joe D

I needed a product to stabilize a crushed gravel mixture (that included fines). I had used the gravel mixture to surround paving stones on a walking path. To add a bit more complexity, the walking path also sloped in multiple directions (due to maintaining the final grade of the lot). I came across Rompex D7000 on the internet and reached out to Romex for further information. Customer service was great. Tom was very knowledgeable and helpful. With a bit of prep work, the product stabilized the gravel mix beautifully. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up to an Alberta winter. ~ Mike M

Finally a solution to our messy, weed-filled flagstone walkway! My husband and I love Rompox Easy Bucket by Romex. We've used a number of different products on our flagstone walkways over the years, but nothing seemed to last. This is by far the best! It was so easy to use, and was ready to walk on in 24 hours. It's amazingly durable but at the same time it's so beautiful. Hosing off the walkways is a joy now, and there are no weeds! We are going to order more to complete our larger flagstone patio. I am super excited. If I was able to give it a 10, I would! ~ Angela H

I bought a pail of Rompox Easy at a distributor which turned out to be the wrong colour. I went back to them and pointed out the mistake and they couldn’t help me. I then got hold of Tom at Romex North Vancouver and he couldn’t have been more accommodating. Even though the original product had been laid and unreturnable Tom graciously replaced it right away without question. I’m very thankful to Tom and his staff. I’ve also used this product before and it really does work. Weeds are no longer a problem and I can now power wash my flagstone without disturbing the Rompox. ~ Greg B

I have been using products from Romex Canada for a couple years now and I'm extremely satisfied with this highest quality joint sand on the market. It's also permeable, comes in different colours and it's easy to apply. Customer service is top notch too. I had many questions at the beginning and everything was explained to me promptly. Do you know of any manufacturer that will come out and check your personal paver project? Well we do, and that's why Romex Canada has the best permeable hardscape solutions product line in Canada! We had not one, but two landscapers hired to install patio pavers in our backyard. The first used cheap standard jointing sand which was destroyed by ants shortly after( see pic) The second landscapers based off a recommendation from BC Brick supplies came and used Rompax easy-joint mortar. This was the wrong product as the width of the joints were less than 8mm.(see pic) Being quite frustrated and out a lot of money, we called Romex Canada. That's when Joe Steinbach came to the rescue. He personally came out , inspected the site and provided the correct solutions to our misery. True to his words, Joe returned a few weeks later on his day off with a landscaping crew. The backyard looks beautiful now! It was also a fantastic idea to use Rompex Deko-Pro with aggregates to have any water runoff not come to the house foundation. We have been using Romex for 2 years now on our projects. It is, hands down, the best hardscape paving solution on the market. We aim, whenever possible, to have consultants, architects, and our clients switch paving build ups to Romex due to its superior performance, its permeability, its longevity, but also due to the future maintenance savings (it can be pressure washed without having to come back and fix jointing later). 5 Stars!!!! ~ Jeremy M

I just completed the installation of about 215 square feet of 24" porcelain pavers (on an open grade gravel base) for a patio in my courtyard. I did a lot of research before coming up with my design and material selection. I went ahead with a 1/8" paver spacing without having found a joint filler I was sure I would be happy with. I had a lot of apprehension with using polymeric sand, partly because it isn't permeable, and partly due to many negative reviews I found of different products. When I was finally ready to fill the joints, I did another thorough search on line and luckily discovered the Romex Rompox Ecofine product. Local rep Tom Kirk was very helpful in answering my questions and providing helpful advice. Rompox Ecofine offered the benefits of (1) being well suited to my 1/8" gaps, (2) being available in a choice of 3 colors, (3) being easily applied, (4) being permeable, and (5) being robust enough to accept periodic power washing. One 12.5 kg container was sufficient for my project needs, and the application took me less than 2 hours. I live in Blaine Washington, and being close to the Vancouver area I luckily was able to purchase the product conveniently close by in Surrey, BC. ~ Ken J

This was my first time using this product and it was so easy to use. We did a test application first and decided to take some time to fill in some of the larger gaps we had between the flagstones. We got much better coverage out of the tub.,Wish I’d done this years ago. ~ Dean R

We use Romex in our hardscape installations whenever possible and have had fantastic luck with their permeable joint sands. When you finish a $200,000+ installation you think long and hard about what joint sand to use. Choosing Romex takes a lot of guesswork out of the process. ~ En G
